Barolo Library Experience
Michelin Starred Chef and Restaurant Owner, Marc Lanteri, at Castello di Grinzane Cavour, welcomes you to his panoramic dining room where the 5th Barolo Library Judge the tasting took place in 2015 by Xiaowen Huang, founder of CLUBalogue Academy and author of the wine guide “Barolo Library“. The Grinzane Cavour Castle, UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the most iconic and recognizable landmarks in Langhe. The fortified castle was erected around a central tower with origins in the first half of the 11th century and dominates one of the 11 villages of the Barolo Denomination.
The Barolo Library Experience is an exclusive opportunity for selected guests to be guided in the tasting of old vintage Barolo DOCG wines while being perfectly paired to the signature culinary preparations of Chef Marc Lanteri with breathtaking views of the Langa before them. Three official Barolo Library Judges are present during the fine Barolo wine and “haute cuisine” experience at Castello Grinzane Cavour.
Upon request guests will receive the exclusive and limited availability “Barolo Library Wine List of Marc Lanteri” for their personal choice of the rare Barolo vintages. Once the Barolo Library wines have been confirmed Chef Marc Lanteri will personally propose the perfect food to wine pairing for the occasion using the best seasonal ingredients and when available from his own vegetable garden.
On the reserved date of the Barolo Library Experience you will be welcomed to restaurant Marc Lanteri Al Castello Grinzane Cavour by Restaurant Manager and Sommelier, Amy Bellotti and Chef Marc Lanteri personally and enjoy an aperitivo together with them at Castello Grinzane. Your personalized menu and hand selected Barolo Library wines will be printed and given to you at this time. Chef Marc Lanteri, Amy Bellotti and their Sommelier, Alessandro Corsini will be present at various moments of the dining experience to present the Barolo Library wines, to provide information about the producer, geographical area of production and Piedmont culinary history.
