Amy Bellotti, wife and partner of Chef Marc Lanteri, was born in the Rocky Mountain town of Collbran, Colorado. Since 1998, Amy has resided in the shadows of the Alps in Piemonte. After receiving her Bachelor’s of Science in Restaurant and Resort Management degree at Colorado State University, Amy studied at the famed Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners (ICIF) in Costigliole d’Asti where she earned her Master Chef Certification. Amy’s passion for fine wine motivated her to achieve her professional sommelier certification from the highly respected Association of Italian Sommeliers.
Under the direction of Executive Chef Marc Lanteri, Amy worked in the brigade at restaurant Delle Antiche Contrade in Cuneo, when the restaurant received its first Michelin star in 2004.
In 2008, Amy and Marc opened their first restaurant, Il Baluardo in Mondovì (CN) and restored the restaurant’s Michelin rating in 2011.
In January 2015, the culinary couple moved their restaurant operation to Castello Grinzane Cavour in the heart of the Langhe where they have maintained their rating in the Michelin Red Guide.
Today, Amy splits her time between joyously raising the couple’s two budding gastronomes and her career at the Castello managing the front of the house where her guests experience her husband’s culinary creations that are a sublime synthesis of his French birth, Italian DNA, and
Piemonte residence. In her free time she enjoys traveling, skiing, snowboarding and learning to b boy with her two children.
